How the journey began...
It started when my best friend told me she had just seen Chris Rock's "Good Hair." She was shocked to learn of just how harmful chemical relaxers are on our hair and where the hair we weave with really came from. She exposed me to the seedy underbelly of the world of hair. It got me to thinking about not just my hair, but my children's hair as well. From that moment, I decided to go Natural.
Our current hair condition is: VERY DAMAGED.
My oldest daughter's hair is riddled with split ends, while I cannot seem to get my youngest daughter's hair to grow. My hair? Well I just get so tired of looking at it and not knowing what to do with it. I'll flat iron it once in a while and would never wash it and if I did it was to put a perm in it. Like most moms, I just don't have the money to go to the salon and get my hair done every two weeks so I said: There must be an cheaper and easier way! I decided to reserch what others were doing to their hair...
Join us as my family and I restrengthen, restructure and revitalize our hair. Naturally. I welcome all questions, suggestions and advice. Let's do it together. Let's take back our hair!

I'm following you from MBC. Great blog. I have two young girls and they are mixed babies. I spent months and months struggling with Jocelyn's hair and I felt like such a pathetic white mom! I've turned a corner though. I look forward to keeping up on your blog. And I have been meaning to watch Good Hair.
